recently i've been making pictures concerned with the emptiness
of communities caused by the breaking down of the surrounding
environment.
in places of derelict factories and demolished homes; schools,
libraries and community centres; i hear the buzz of life
but see no-one.
i find this quite disturbing.

starting from January 2016, the Stryd Fawr / Stryd Uchel Project
[ 2016 ], An 11.59 Publication, will explore issues tied in with
these concerns.
the journey undertaken for this project will create, visually,
both questions and answers.
and who knows...maybe even some conclusions.

my previous project, st marys well bay - penarth headland [2015]
gradually became focused on what, i still feel, is becoming a
broken environment.
my next project, Stryd Fawr / Stryd Uchel, reflects, through
pictures, my increasing concern about our broken [ or close to
breaking ], community and urban environment.
things seem to work out generally OK, most of the time, at the
moment, but for how much longer?
